Nature’s Wetter 230 Soil Surfactant

880.00 (inclusive all taxes)

NatureWet 230 is naturally-derived surfactant that speeds up the infiltration of irrigation through thatch and into hard-to-wet soils often encountered on sports fields, golf courses and large lawns.

Using NatureWet 230 helps turfgrass managers produce superior playing surfaces by moving water into the root zone and improving the uptake of soluble nutrients.

  • Loosens up hard soil by reducing surface tension between water, soil and roots.
  • Reduces water consumption / requirement.
  • Reduces root zone stress and enhances growth and activity of Micro-organisms necessary for healthy turf grass.
  • Helps water and oxygen to reach the roots.
  • Can be used for irrigation and as fertilizer mix adjuvant.
  • 100% Bio-degradable, derived from plant sugars.
  • Does not contain silicon, sodium like harmful chemicals.
  • Fast acting, economical and easy to use.

Soils can become hydrophobic in nature; when the soil is left to dry for a long period of time or when it contains high organic contents.

Soil hydrophobicity can lead to surface run-off and water accumulation at spots called water pooling, which has a directly affects plant growth through reduced of water infiltration and supply to a plants’ root zone in the case of turf grass and field crops.

Physical & chemical properties and soil quality can directly affect the penetration and percolation of water throughout the soil profile.

Agrochemical treatments, in particular pre-emergent herbicides (eg. Weedicides) are often applied directly to soil, which is naturally a hydrophobic substrate and doesn’t interact favourably with water. The hydrophobic nature of the soil can limit the penetration and infiltration of irrigation-based applications. Consequences of such

unfavourable interaction can lead to surface run-off and reduced percolation and distribution of water within the soil.

Using NatureWet 230 will increase the penetration of water into hydrophobic soil, improving the wetting and percolation of water throughout the soil profile.

Use of NatureWet 230 as an adjuvant improves the absorption of agrochemical treatment into the soil. By improving penetration into the root zone and evenly distributing the fertilizer or pesticide treatment, thus making it more effective.

NatureWet 230 helps to retain moisture within the soil, maintaining agrochemical treatments in solution for longer, nurturing seed and plant development and improving treatment bioavailability.

Features and Benefits of Using NatureWet 230

  • Increased soil penetration – the soil wetting properties of NatureWet 230 allow for agrochemical treatments to be readily absorbed into the soil. This reduces surface run-off and pooling, delivering the product into the soil where it needs to be in order to be effective.
  • Improved distribution – NatureWet 230 distributes the treatment evenly throughout the soil profile. When using NatureWet 230 alongside irrigation, each seed or plant receives a uniform amount of water which is beneficial for growth and development.
  • Retains moisture in the soil – NatureWet 230 slows down the evaporation of water from the soil profile. This helps to conserve water whilst improving bioavailability of nutrients and treatments by maintaining them in solution for longer.
  • Extended performance – the performance of NatureWet 230 is maintained following subsequent applications of other agrochemicals or irrigation. This extended effect

How does it work?

NatureWet 230 works by reducing the surface tension of water, allowing it to better infiltrate into hydrophobic soil surfaces and increasing percolation throughout the soil profile. The co-polymer chemistry contained in the product favourably interacts with soil and is designed to hold soil moisture for longer. This can improve the residual activity of soil applied agrochemicals such as pre-emergent herbicides.

improves absorption and distribution within the soil.

How to Use

NatureWet 230 is recommended as a tank mix adjuvant.

The recommended concentration of NatureWet 230 is 0.2% w/v.

This equates to an application rate of 1L of NatureWet 230 for 500L of water.

Safety & Ecology

NatureWet 230 is made from the safest and the most eco-friendly surfactant derived from sugars.

It is a blend of non-ionic surfactants, Biodegradable and plant-derived from sugars, these surfactants are usually glucose derivatives, and fatty alcohols. The raw materials are typically starch and fat, and the final products are typically complex mixtures of compounds with different sugars.
